Public Engagement and Involvement

Universities are increasingly developing their profiles of  ‘Public Engagement and Involvement’. This is partly in recognition that research doesn’t just belong in academic books and articles but also belongs in the public realm, where it can inspire and inform people and help deliver meaningful change across a range of settings. Visit any university page to see the work they are doing with schools and the public in public spaces such as festivals and museums.Universities are increasingly collaborating with artists to find new and interesting ways to engage people with our work, e.g.  running  Public Involvement Panel that allows patients, and members of the public to have a voice in the research they do.
