Join Battersea dogs homes campaign calling for tougher sentences for people convicted of animal cruelty in England and Wales

Please help fight against the pathetically small sentences given out to animal abusers.

England and Wales have the lowest maximum sentences available for animal cruelty in Europe!! What’s more animal cruelty has increased since the global financial crisis (2007-2009). Dog fighting rings and other groups who abuse animals for money see England as a place where they can abuse animals with a very low risk of prosecution or punishment. On Friday 24th Feb 2017 there will be a vote in Parliament to increase sentences for the most serious acts of animal cruelty. Ask your MP to vote using Battersea Dogs Home ready prepared letter at Letter to MP in support of action against animal cruelty
